More about Remind: The new Remind app on Chromebook can be used as a quick and easy way to transfer information or files between devices in my classroom. Remind is a fast way to take a picture or attach a file on any device and send it to the class’ Chromebooks! What’s even better is teachers and students can log in with their Google or Remind accounts to access all of their messages. Getting students involved To set this up in your 1:1 classroom:
Sign up for Remind with your gmail account or log into your existing Remind account on any device or on the web.
Next, help students download the Remind app from the Chrome Web Store on all of the Chromebooks in your 1:1 classroom. Make sure they create an account as a “student”.
Once students are logged into their accounts, have students subscribe to your class with your class code.
Once students are subscribed, send them photos, documents, messages, Voice Clips, and more straight to their devices!
Now, you can snap and attach a quick picture or a file for a presentation and send it to the rest of the class! Also, if students are working on a project and one student finds a great resource, you can easily share the link with the whole class through Remind. Students can also respond quickly to each message with Stamps! You’ll receive real-time feedback of student responses for each message and view which students have opened your attachments.
Using Remind in a 1:1 classroom is a fast way to send out important resources and messages to all of your students’ devices at once!
